Jenni Hermoso remains out of Montse Tomé's plans. The Tigres player was once again excluded from the squad announced by the Spanish coach this Friday for the double fixture against Portugal in the Nations League. The absence of the Madrid player for the third consecutive time is the most notable point of a list that sees the return of Alexia Putellas and Patri Guijarro, who missed the previous international break due to physical issues.

The Spanish national team will face Portugal on April 4th in Paços de Ferreira and four days later will host the Portuguese side in Vigo. Two fixtures against the 22nd ranked team in the FIFA rankings where Montse Tomé's team will aim to secure six points to recover from the setback suffered at the end of February at Wembley, where the reigning world champions were defeated 1-0 by England. Previously, Spain had started their Nations League campaign on a positive note by defeating Belgium 3-2 at the Ciutat de València Stadium with goals from Claudia Pina, Lucía García, and Cristina Martín-Prieto.
