Javier Pujol (Ficosa) Appointed as New President of Sernauto

Javier Pujol Artigas, CEO of Ficosa, has been unanimously elected as the new president of the Spanish Association of Automotive Suppliers (SERNAUTO). Pujol will assume the position from 1st July 2025, succeeding Francisco J. Riberas, who has led the association since 2021.

The Board of Directors of SERNAUTO highlighted Pujol's extensive experience in the automotive sector, his international strategic vision, and geopolitical knowledge, considering him the ideal candidate to represent an industry that generates over 40 billion euros in revenue and creates more than 204,000 direct jobs in Spain.

Javier Pujol, who joined Ficosa International in 1986 and has been the Group's CEO since 2003, expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for leading the association in the coming years.

Pujol holds a degree in Law from the University of Navarra and has furthered his studies at the IESE Business School. He joined Ficosa International in 1986 and has held various positions in different countries and regions. He was appointed CEO of the Group in 2003 and is a member of the Board of Directors.

He also contributed to the founding of Idneo Technologies in 2011, a company specializing in engineering services for the design, development, and manufacturing of high-value technological products.

He also holds the following positions: member of the Board of Directors of several private equity firms, member of the Board of Directors of the "Multiple Sclerosis Foundation", CEO of the "Conde de Godó Tournament", and Financial Vice President of the "Real Club de Tenis de Barcelona", as well as a member of the FIF Foundation (Vocational Training).

The Board of Directors also wished to acknowledge and thank Francisco J. Riberas for his work during his tenure, highlighting his leadership in defending the sector, strengthening SERNAUTO's positioning, and consolidating strategic alliances. The contributions of outgoing vice presidents, Benito Tesier and Mercedes Pujol, were also recognized.
