The Court of Instruction number 3 in Cádiz has accepted a lawsuit against Ismael Beiro, the first winner of 'Big Brother', in which Alicia Rodríguez, a lifelong friend, is claiming €100,000. The victim told the program 'En boca de todos' that the man from Cádiz convinced her to participate in an investment promising substantial returns, but she has not seen any of her money. "I had just sold (my house) and needed another one and to adapt it. That's when Beiro convinced me to invest. He told me he would offer a return of €3,000, and I explained that I had payment commitments with the developer, and he assured me that these commitments would be respected," she detailed.
The trustful relationship with her friend led Alicia to make the transfer without signing any document or contract. After demanding her money back, the 'Big Brother' contestant cited liquidity problems and returned €14,600, an amount far less than what the alleged victim is claiming.
