Isabel Salazar Páramo Appointed as New General Director of Fundación Telefónica
The organisation seizes the opportunity to restructure its leadership area, with Enrique Goñi continuing as executive president, and changes in the sub-directorates of Innovation and Strategy, as well as Transformation, Efficiency, and Support.

Isabel Salazar Páramo will become the new general director of Fundación Telefónica, replacing Luis Prendes, whom the operator "thanks for his generosity and performance over the years." The new leadership is completed with the appointment of Javier Gutiérrez-Bolívar as deputy general director of Innovation and Strategy, and Iñigo Audibert as deputy general director of Transformation, Efficiency, and Support.
The new sub-directorate of Innovation and Strategy will encompass the areas of Cultural Innovation and Critical Thinking (Pablo Gonzalo); Social Innovation, Employment, Education, and Volunteering (Inés Temes); and Technological Investment Portfolios. Meanwhile, the deputy general directorate of Transformation, Efficiency, and Support will include Digital Transformation and Efficiency, Administration and Finance, and People (Susana Prieto).
Additionally, the deputy director to the executive presidency (Luisa Alli) will manage the areas of Communication and Marketing (Lydia Loste) and Institutional Relations (Joan Cruz). Finally, the Legal and Compliance area, as well as coordination with Fundación ProFuturo, will report directly to the new general director.
Enrique Goñi, executive president of Fundación Telefónica, believes that with the new leadership, the organisation "will accelerate its focus on differential innovation in technology." The aim is to become a "European benchmark" in promoting strategies, ideas, and proposals that foster the European generation of technologies that are as competitive as they are ethical.
20 years of experience
Salazar holds a degree in Law and a diploma in Business Studies from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE-E1). She has been the director of legal advice and compliance at Fundación Telefónica, with 20 years of experience in the corporate, business, and foundational fields.
She began her professional career in the consumer goods sector and later, in 2011, joined the general secretariat of the Telefónica Group. Among other responsibilities, she has been the legal head of Wayra, Telefónica's startup accelerator, as well as Fundación ProFuturo, and head of integrity in the global compliance direction of the Telefónica group.
Meanwhile, Javier Gutiérrez-Bolívar holds a degree in Economics and Business Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He joined Telefónica in 2008 in the Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions area, focusing his efforts on corporate transactions, especially in projects in Latin America.
By 2021, he assumed the role of Director of Corporate Development at Telefónica HISPAM, leading projects in alliances, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as incorporating investors to optimise assets and accelerate growth in different countries in the region. Since 2024, he has supported Fundación Telefónica in its strategic definition.
In turn, Iñigo Audibert holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He joined the Telefónica group in 2002, where he has worked in various internal control areas such as intervention, audit, and corporate inspection.
Later, in 2011, he joined Fundación Telefónica as head of management control for Latin America, leading the project management office. Since 2019, he has been the global head of finance, processes, and control at Fundación Telefónica and later also took on the area of Social Action and Volunteering.
