With an innovative design, Microlino has unveiled the Spider concept, an elegant, sustainable, and safe vehicle for residential areas and leisure destinations. Affectionately dubbed the "Anti-Pick-Up-Truck," the Microlino Spider could revolutionise short-distance travel, not only in Europe but also in the United States.
Following the success of the classic Microlino, the Microlino Lite, and the Microlino Spiaggina, the Spider offers a new vision of micromobility. Designed for golf clubs, hotels, European holiday destinations, and residential neighbourhoods in the United States, the Spider is perfect for those seeking an alternative to large SUVs and pick-up trucks.
"The Microlino Spider is not designed for the 5% of trips where you need to carry a lot, but for the 95% of trips where you drive alone to work or run quick errands," explains Wim Ouboter, founder and president of Microlino.
In the United States, the largest market for golf buggies in the world, the Microlino Spider offers an eco-friendly, safer, and above all, more stylish solution. It is permitted on most roads with a speed limit of 56 km/h, covering more than half of the country's road network.
The Microlino Spider retains the iconic design DNA of its predecessors but introduces new innovative elements. With open side panels and no doors, it recalls the simplicity and functionality of a golf buggy, but with unmatched style. Highlights include an open roof, optionally complemented by a fabric roof for sun protection. Also, wood finishes with elegant maritime-inspired details on the steering wheel and door thresholds. Innovative paint details with colours that shift between blue, green, and violet depending on the light. Additionally, a practical entry with easy side access instead of the traditional front door.
Inside, the striking exterior is paired with a modern blue and white colour scheme. This combination of aesthetics and functionality ensures that the Spider is not just a vehicle, but a statement of intent.
