The Alicante Fish Market is brimming with art. Three simultaneous exhibitions, with free entry, will coexist in the coming weeks, blending various techniques such as sculpture, photography, video, and sound in this venue.
The exhibitions 'Ingrávidos' by Mar Solís, 'Lugares en movimiento' by Rosa Muñoz, and 'Fràgil substrat' by Gabriel Verderi fill a shared space at the Alicante Fish Market during the first quarter of 2025.
A dialogue between science, art, and philosophy is presented by Mar Solís, posing questions about the nature of space, matter, void, and time. The artist invites viewers, until April 27, to explore the tensions between gravity, movement, and void through sculptures that challenge the laws of physics and spatial perception.
The forgotten architectural structures of the Casa de Campo pavilions in Madrid, recreated through visual collages, are brought by Rosa Muñoz to the Fish Market until March 23.
The artist creates compositions that deconstruct and reassemble reality, transforming architectural elements into abstract geometries filled with color, textures, and symbolism. The audience becomes part of the narrative with these images, exploring and questioning the nature of the real and the imaginary.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Verderi presents a series of three installations offering a fluid journey through images, light, sound, and objects. The artist uses various materials and media to reflect on his own life experiences and proposes poetic approaches to perception, reality, and memory.
In 'Fràgil substrat', Verderi combines '45 cm aproximadament', reflecting on the difficulty of defining and locating the feeling of motherhood; 'Transient', discussing the experience of the journey; and 'mplir els espais en blanc', showing how family images can be the last link connecting us to an intangible past. This exhibition will also be open until March 23.
