Intercity Football Club and the Alicante Nursing College have entered into an agreement to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation training to the youth academy members of the club. The agreement was signed by Montserrat Angulo Perea, President of the Alicante Nursing College, and Salvador Martí Varó, President of CF Intercity.
Francisco Gómez Vitero, Vice President of the Alicante Nursing College and coordinator of the CPR School, stated that the agreement is crucial for both entities as they share a commitment to society. He emphasized the importance of setting an example for other clubs by training Intercity's youth academy in these vital skills.
Salvador Martí Varó highlighted the significance of the agreement, noting that it is essential to have all coaches and delegates trained to provide first aid in case of an incident, ensuring the safety of players until professional help arrives.
This initiative is part of the CPR School's objectives to educate social groups in these techniques, recognizing the importance of having basic knowledge in events that gather large crowds, where such skills can be life-saving in the event of a cardiac arrest.
