Thus, the Department of Education expands the vocational training map of the Valencian Community in the province of Alicante. These two centres will address the educational needs of the local productive system and join the CIPFPs of the Valencian Community, which will have 22 integrated centres next academic year: 12 in the province of Valencia, eight in Alicante, and two in Castellón.
The CIPFP Leonardo da Vinci in Alicante will offer courses in Administration and Management; Chemistry; Health; Safety and Environment; Transport and Vehicle Maintenance; Agriculture; Hospitality and Tourism; Food Industries; Chemistry; Safety and Environment; and will also be able to provide all training actions related to Vocational Training, as referred to in the National Catalogue of Professional Competence Standards.
Over the next three academic years (25/26, 26/27, and 27/28), the existing groups of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year of ESO will remain physically and complete their educational stage progressively at the CIPFP Leonardo da Vinci. The 1st year ESO students will start the 25/26 academic year at their new assigned centre. As for the high school groups of the IES Leonardo da Vinci, they will move directly to the IES Virgen del Remedio.
Meanwhile, the CIPFP El Palmeral in Orihuela will offer courses in Physical and Sports Activities; Agriculture; Building and Civil Works; Electricity and Electronics; Installation and Maintenance; Transport and Vehicle Maintenance; Electricity and Electronics; Personal Image; Sociocultural and Community Services; Administration and Management; Commerce and Marketing; and will also be able to provide all training actions related to Vocational Training, as referred to in the National Catalogue of Professional Competence Standards.
Over the next three academic years (25/26, 26/27, and 27/28), the students of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year of ESO will remain physically at the CIPFP El Palmeral, completing their educational stage progressively, with no new 1st year ESO groups being incorporated.
As for the high school groups of the IES El Palmeral, they will move to the IES Gabriel Miró, except for the Arts Baccalaureate, which will be transferred to the IES Las Espeñetas.
Productive System
Vocational Training must meet the educational needs of the Valencian Community's productive system, rationalising the vocational training map and transforming our system into a high-performance model.
For this reason, the Department of Education has decided to increase the number of integrated vocational training centres with territorial balance, as well as specialised vocational training centres and the creation of smart specialisation networks among them.
Integrated vocational training centres include all existing vocational training offerings and ensure the quality of these teachings. These centres help students and citizens decide which educational paths are most suitable in each case, establishing direct connections with companies, having greater organisational autonomy, and focusing their efforts on responding to the qualification needs of the productive fabric of their environment.
