The Alicante City Council and the Red Cross have concluded the skills training program for employment aimed at young people under 30 in vulnerable situations. This initiative, organized through municipal grants to entities in the North Zone neighborhoods and the Vial de los Cipreses-Cemetery neighborhood area, receives an annual budget of 100,000 euros, as reported by the council in a statement.

Specifically, 19 individuals have received certificates this year for completing 56 hours of training, delivered in two courses. One course was held at the El Tossalet employment center in the North Zone, and the other at the Felicidad Sánchez social center. The lessons began with 20 participants, and two have already secured employment.

The Councillor for Presidency, Strategic Plans, and European Projects, Antonio Peral, along with the Councillor for Employment, Mari Carmen de España, and the President of the Alicante Red Cross, Remedios Alarcón, participated in the diploma award ceremony for the young people who completed the job training workshop held in September and October.

Peral congratulated the students "for their effort, motivation, and dedication in this training program, which they have successfully completed, with two of them already securing jobs." He also thanked the Red Cross "for their commitment to Alicante and their strong support for the employability of the city's youth."

"This is a safe bet for your future, job insertion, personal and professional development. After the job training, you have managed to increase your efficiency, quality, productivity, self-esteem, and teamwork. You are ready to find employment," added the councillor.

Furthermore, Peral recalled that "this course has been successfully conducted for 13 years, providing job training to over 300 young people with special difficulties, guiding, training, and supporting them to find employment."
