Emergency services attended to two women injured in a fire in Alcoy during the early hours. At around 6:20 am, the Emergency Coordination Centre (CICU) received a report of a fire in a private residence on Sant Blai street.

Upon arrival at the affected residence, they attended to two women with injuries related to the fire. A 65-year-old woman suffered facial burns and a head injury, while a 59-year-old woman showed signs of smoke inhalation and an anxiety attack. A SAMU ambulance and a Basic Life Support unit transported the injured to Alcoy Hospital.

However, after assessing the injuries, the medical team decided to transfer the woman with burns, aged 65, to the General Doctor Balmis Hospital in Alicante. To ensure speed, the emergency services decided to activate the helicopter for this transfer.
