The University of Alicante (UA) and the Institute of Economic Studies of the province of Alicante (Ineca) are strengthening their collaborative ties by signing a cooperation agreement that anticipates various actions. The agreement enhances strategic relations between both entities with the aim of improving knowledge about the Alicante business fabric.

The president of Ineca states that "this commitment reaffirms our willingness to continue working hand in hand with the University of Alicante to promote high-impact projects that translate into benefits for society." After the signing, Amparo Navarro recalled that the relationship between both entities dates back to 2009, with numerous reports and studies involving UA researchers. In this regard, the rector considers that "it was necessary to update the framework of this relationship to reinforce existing ties and allow us to open new avenues for both training and research, strengthening the necessary bridge between the academic and business worlds."

For Amirola, this agreement represents recognition of institutional cooperation, enabling the development of future joint actions, specific projects, and programs that benefit both parties and the community at large in training and innovative initiatives linked to knowledge transfer.

Regarding training, the UA rector explained that with the new model, it will be possible to design tailored courses swiftly thanks to micro-credentials. In terms of research, Navarro points out that "the complexity of today's world requires interdisciplinary analyses that consider new variables, making our role as a comprehensive university essential, as we have the knowledge and talent of researchers from all fields of study."

Both institutions commit to monitoring this agreement through the development of specific agreements, detailing the corresponding actions, resources, and responsibilities. This step strengthens the commitment of both parties to inter-institutional collaboration as a key tool for advancing sustainable and long-term objectives.

Both the rector and the president of Ineca highlighted the importance of maintaining dynamic alliances that evolve with current challenges and committed to continuing to promote joint actions aimed at sustainable development, innovation, and human capital formation.
