The Importance of Teaching First Aid to Schoolchildren

Vithas Alicante and Vithas Medimar Hospitals have resumed their educational agenda in Alicante schools with free workshops conducted by doctors and nurses aimed at students from Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training. The Aula Salud Colegios program is an initiative developed by Vithas that seeks to educate young people on self-care in health, healthy lifestyle habits, and first aid.

These sessions aim to raise awareness among children about issues related to their growth, such as the importance of maintaining a healthy diet, engaging in physical exercise, first aid techniques, sexuality, relaxation techniques, and more. The program promotes disease prevention and self-care, providing students with tools to make informed decisions about their well-being.

Similarly, teachers and monitors are trained on other topics such as emotional burnout and stress management, among others. Training in case of accidents is one of the most requested by the group.
