Iker Casillas to Take Legal Action Against Claudia Bavel

Iker Casillas has broken his silence, issuing a statement on his social media following the controversial testimony of Claudia Bavel last week on 'De viernes'. In the show, she not only confirmed their relationship but also revealed private messages exchanged between them. "In light of the unacceptable events of recent days and the serious personal consequences they are causing, I feel compelled to express the following," the statement begins, highlighting his professional career in sports and noting his current dedication to private business.

"I will not allow my status as a public figure to be disrespected," he asserts. The lengthy text, comprising eight points, also announces that he has instructed legal action to be taken against "any violation of my privacy and/or honour, regardless of who it comes from and through whatever means, claiming damages caused by such conduct."

"I do this for myself and for all those around me, who are directly and severely affected, as those who carry out these actions know and understand without caring," Casillas justifies.

The statement has received numerous supportive comments from his followers, with the most notable being from his friend Gerard Piqué, who wittily responded with the definition of "metedor: a person who inserts or incorporates something into another thing."
