The experience of a boat within everyone's reach. This is the goal with which Alicante entrepreneur Isabel Aguirre has created Iberboat, the first digital platform for peer-to-peer boat rentals in Spain.
A project aimed at enabling anyone to enjoy a maritime experience, whether or not they have prior navigation knowledge. "Spain has one of the most active coastlines for boat rentals, but it is a clearly seasonal market. That's why Iberboat was born: with lower commissions and an understanding of the real dynamics of the Spanish nautical charter," explains Isabel, founder and CEO of the company.
The platform allows renting boats with or without a nautical license, catering to both experienced users and clients who wish to have a unique experience at sea. If lacking knowledge, clients can easily hire a professional skipper to handle the navigation.
Each boat listing clearly indicates whether a nautical title is required, and the search system allows filtering by location, type of boat, and desired experience. Without intermediaries, simplicity of use and security at every step are fundamental: Iberboat has been designed to be a simple, accessible, and efficient platform, whether through its website or app.
Another pillar of the project is customer service: Iberboat offers high-quality support, with a team trained to swiftly resolve any doubts or issues, both for clients and owners, contributing to trust and satisfaction in every rental.
Owners and Skippers
Additionally, Iberboat is not only aimed at those who wish to enjoy the sea but also at boat owners and professional skippers. Owners can list their boats for free, access promotions from the Nautical Club. Skippers can also offer their services through the platform and be hired directly by users.
Far from presenting the sea as an exclusive luxury, Iberboat advocates for accessible boating, open to all kinds of people and situations. Currently, Iberboat already has 200 registered boats at various points along the Spanish coast and aims to establish itself as one of the main digital references in the nautical sector in Spain.
Moreover, as part of its social commitment, Iberboat will annually donate a percentage of its profits to charitable causes. This first year, the funds will be allocated to organizations supporting people affected by the DANA.
In summary, Iberboat is the first boat rental platform that connects users, boat owners, and professional skippers in a secure and accessible digital environment. It offers a wide variety of boats with and without licenses, available for booking through its website and app. The platform aims to democratize the nautical experience across Spain.
