Six-Hour Power Outages in Several Alicante Streets This Sunday

Iberdrola to Cut Supply Between 8 AM and 2 PM for Maintenance Work

On the first weekend of July, power outages will also occur. Iberdrola has announced electricity supply cuts lasting six hours in various streets of Alicante city for maintenance and improvement works on the network.

The company has issued a notice detailing the areas that will be without electricity this Sunday, 6th July, between 8 AM and 2 PM, affecting up to four streets in the city.

The affected area includes the Rabasa industrial estate, a zone between Ciudad Jardín and San Vicente del Raspeig. Here, up to four streets will experience disruptions in the electricity supply while the company carries out its improvement and maintenance tasks. The affected streets are as follows:

Iberdrola states that "if the works are completed before the scheduled time, we will restore the supply immediately and without prior notice" and advises "avoiding maintenance work on your installation during the outage period," as the electricity supply could be restored earlier than expected.

The electric company Iberdrola offers several tips to cope with these scheduled power cuts during the summer. They emphasize organizing before leaving home, considering the supply in the elevator and garage. They also stress not opening the refrigerator or freezer door to maintain the cold chain and recommend resetting their initial temperature when the electricity supply returns.

On Monday, other municipalities in Alicante will also experience outages, such as Alcoi, between 9 AM and 11 AM, at Cl Mesquita: 30; Pd Riquer Alt: 15 PC, 25 BI, 28, 30; and Pd Salterres: 2 BI, 70.
