Hospitals are among the infrastructures affected by the nationwide power outage, although there have been no serious repercussions so far. Nevertheless, they are all equipped to handle such incidents by operating on generators, thus providing power to all electrically operated devices.

For the time being, healthcare centres have decided to postpone the surgeries scheduled for Monday, April 28, but no major incidents have occurred as they all have generators, allowing them to continue having electricity.

This situation has been confirmed by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, where their emergency plan, Platecam, has been activated to coordinate the effects of the blackout. The regional government has confirmed that the hospital network continues to operate thanks to its emergency power generators.
