Hosbec, the leading hotel association, strengthens its position as the reference business organisation in the sector by forming an alliance with Alicante Sur. Since 2008, Alicante Sur has been promoting tourism in municipalities such as Torrevieja, Santa Pola, Guardamar del Segura, Orihuela Costa, Pilar de la Horadada, Crevillente, Ciudad Quesada, and Algorfa. "This agreement allows the incorporation of Alicante Sur's interests and objectives into HOSBEC's global tourism promotion strategies, aiming to enhance and boost the region's attractions," stated representatives at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur).
This Wednesday, the Hosbec Alicante Sur brand was unveiled, "marking a significant step forward in the joint tourism promotion of the Alicante province," highlighted the hotel association originally from Benidorm and its surrounding area. The launch was attended by two of the most prominent mayors from Vega Baja and Medio Vinalopó, Eduardo Dolón (Torrevieja) and Loreto Serrano (Santa Pola).

During his speech, Hosbec President Fede Fuster expressed his satisfaction with this agreement, describing it as a "strategic union for the tourism promotion of the southern part of the province," as it "expands tourism development opportunities in the Alicante Sur region by combining efforts between public and private institutions."
For Eduardo Dolón, this is a crucial step to "professionalise the offer beyond residential tourism and embark on major projects with public-private collaboration." Meanwhile, Loreto Serrano expressed her satisfaction, noting that it is the first step towards addressing the issues with the hotel sector in the Santa Pola area, both due to the lack of renovation of establishments and the low availability of hotel rooms.
The roadmap for Hosbec Alicante Sur for 2025 includes a comprehensive approach to promotional campaigns, fair attendance, and the design of innovative and specific actions to boost key tourism products, such as golf tourism and other sports activities. Additionally, these strategies will align with the de-seasonalisation objectives already led by HOSBEC through its HOSBEC Business product club.
This alliance also offers tourism entrepreneurs in Alicante Sur the opportunity to integrate into HOSBEC, gaining access to innovative services in areas such as sustainability, health, and digital transformation. Public-private collaboration will be a fundamental axis to ensure that joint actions benefit all stakeholders in the tourism sector and the involved municipalities.
