Honda remains committed to its electrification plans for its two-wheel range. The Japanese giant, which until now had shown little urgency in developing plug-in motorcycles for the European market, now seems ready to tackle it and announces the arrival of 30 electric models by 2030. It also aims to achieve carbon neutrality for its entire motorcycle range by 2040.

After unveiling the EM1 e: (50 cc style) in 2023, the winged brand has officially announced the launch of its second electric model, the CUV e: (125 cc style), starting in September. This model promises more range, performance, and standard equipment.

It uses a dual Honda Mobile Power Pack e: battery pack to power its 6kW side-mounted E-Drive motor, which reaches a top speed of 83km/h, offers 22Nm of torque, with a range of over 70km (according to Honda's internal tests), and includes the reverse function: Reverse Assist. The charging time from 0 to 100% is 6 hours and less than 3 hours from 25 to 75%; the custom charging port allows customers to charge in the comfort of their own home.

Sleek and modern, it features LED lights front and rear. It includes a reverse assist, a USB-C charging port, a Smart Key proximity key, a small inner glove compartment in the fairing, and under-seat storage. The CUV e: is also equipped with a five-inch TFT screen, or an optional seven-inch screen. The bodywork will be available in the following color options: Pearl Jubilee White, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, and Premium Metallic Silver.

In the cycle part, it features a steel frame associated with a 26mm telescopic front fork and a rear mono-shock, as well as 12-inch wheels.

With the arrival of the CUV e: also comes the Honda Roadsync Duo app, specifically for electric vehicles. It uses a seven-inch TFT screen and provides smart navigation to facilitate travel. Linked to the vehicle's basic functions, such as battery status, the route is continuously monitored and adjusted to propose the most suitable options to the driver. The Over The Air (OTA) update function ensures that drivers can always enjoy the latest generation of the operating system.

Honda has confirmed that the new CUV e: will be available in dealerships from September 2025, priced at 4,000 euros (including two batteries and two chargers) for the version with a 5-inch screen, and 4,550 euros (including two batteries and two chargers) for the version with a 7-inch screen.
