Hercules Secures Loan of Forward Unai Ropero

Hercules CF has officially announced the signing of Unai Ropero (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 2001) as a new player for the 2025/26 season. The forward joins on a one-year loan from Deportivo Alavés.

Ropero is a young forward with potential and proven performance in lower categories. Trained at CD Ariznabarra, Aurrerá de Vitoria, and later in the Alavés academy, he debuted with the first team of the Vitoria-based club in La Liga in May 2022. Since then, he has continued his development between the reserve team and various loan spells.

In the 2023/24 season, he delivered an outstanding performance with Alavés B, being the top scorer of the team and Group II of the Segunda Federación with 19 goals in 33 matches. His performance earned him the title of Best Player of the Year in Segunda Federación by the Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE). Last season, he played for CD Eldense, a LaLiga Hypermotion team.

Standing at 1.88 meters, Ropero is noted for his physical strength, finishing ability, and offensive versatility. Although he usually plays as a centre-forward, he can also operate as a winger or attacking midfielder, adapting to different tactical variants. His style combines mobility, aerial play, and shooting with both feet, making him an interesting piece for Rubén Torrecilla's scheme.

The sports management of Hercules believes that his profile fits the team's playing style: intensity and verticality. His loan is expected to increase competition in the offensive area and bring youth, energy, and ambition in a crucial season for the club's objectives.
