Hercules forward Yanis Senhadji underwent surgery this Wednesday in Seville and will be sidelined for at least two months. The striker, on loan from Betis, injured his meniscus during his debut against Yeclano, and all advice pointed towards surgery as the best option. The operation was successful, and the recovery period is estimated between two and three months. Hercules is hopeful that the young attacker will recover quickly and return in eight weeks. In the best-case scenario, he could play in the final part of the season, although there is still a long way to go, and the reality is that Hercules will have to compete without the under-19 international striker, who was part of Spain's European Championship-winning team last summer.

Yanis's absence leaves Ruben Torrecilla with limited options in attack, as Marcos Mendes has moved to Sant Andreu, where he has already scored. Dani Romera and Agustin Coscia will share the minutes as offensive references, although the coach is also considering moving Oriol Soldevila forward, who has played as a number nine on several occasions. In fact, this coming Sunday, against Fuenlabrada (Rico Perez, 12:00 PM), Soldevila might play in that position since Romera is suspended following his red card against Atletico Madrid B.

As technical secretary Paco Peña stated on Tuesday, Hercules attempted to sign a forward in a last-minute effort on the final day of the transfer window, once it was clear that Yanis's injury could be serious. However, the available options in the market were not convincing, and the club decided to continue with Romera and Coscia.

The management of winter signings has not convinced Torrecilla, who publicly admitted to being "angry," as he believes the squad is lacking depth. Additionally, the coach was expecting a more experienced left-back than Joel Arumí, who arrived from Andorra and was left out against Atletico B. The squad, however, remains focused on preparing for the crucial match against Fuenlabrada, which could determine whether Hercules aims for promotion or fights for survival. Moreover, a victory would calm tensions and extinguish the fire sparked by Torrecilla.
