On Monday, February 3rd, the winter transfer window closes and Hercules still has much to do. They have only parted ways with Marcos Mendes (signed by Sant Andreu in pursuit of his third consecutive promotion), but they are also looking to find opportunities for young players without minutes like central defender Rubén Cantero, midfielder Franck Angong, and wingers Rafael de Palmas and Richie Dapaah.
In terms of new signings, coach Rubén Torrecilla assures every week that they are looking for players in all positions, but the reality is that efforts are focused on signing a left-back and one or two forwards, while not overlooking the positions of defensive midfielder and central defender, where the coach believes there is room for improvement.

The signing closest to being finalized is that of forward Yanis Senhadji. The Spanish U19 international has had few opportunities at Tenerife, and Betis intends to terminate that loan to send him to Alicante until the end of the season. The player agrees, and the deal could be made official in the coming hours.
Additionally, Hercules continues to pursue forward Alan Godoy. Castilla withdrew from the bidding for the Canary Islands striker, and Nàstic de Tarragona has yet to finalize the signing despite being the ideal destination for the player, as he finished last season there. Meanwhile, Enrique Ortiz continues to push and negotiate with Pascual Pérez, president of Eldense, and the player's agent to reach an agreement. If Hercules manages to sign both Yanis and Godoy, Torrecilla would have four forwards, putting Coscia in a delicate situation.
On another note, technical secretary Paco Peña continues to work on bringing in a left-back to end the debate in that position. Retu is not meeting expectations, and Abraham del Moral continues to struggle with physical problems that prevent him from having continuity. The latest occurred last Saturday with a cut on his knee that sent him to the hospital, where he received ten stitches.
Apart from the market's ups and downs, Hercules will begin preparations on Tuesday for Sunday's match against Yeclano at Rico Pérez (3:30 PM). Torrecilla will be without midfielder José Artiles due to an accumulation of yellow cards, but he will have winger Javi Moreno back, who was absent in Marbella for the same reason.
