Hercules Begins Pre-Season This Week with Five New Faces

The holidays are over for the Hercules players. By Wednesday, everyone must return to Alicante to begin medical check-ups, a process that will last two days before the first training session arrives on Friday under Ruben Torrecilla's guidance at Fontcalent.

To date, Hercules has officially announced only four signings, although five players have already committed to the Alicante club. The attackers Slavy and Unai Ropero, Cameroonian midfielder Ben Hamed, and central defenders Adrian Bolo and Nacho Monsalve, the latest addition that the club will announce in the coming hours.

Additionally, twelve players from last season are called this week to start training: goalkeepers Carlos Abad and Nando Almodovar, defenders Samu Vazquez, Retuerta, Sotillos, and Montoro, midfielders Mangada and Colomina, and attackers Soldevila, Nico Espinosa, Aranda, and Richie Dappah, who is still recovering from a severe knee injury suffered at the end of last season.

Three players return after completing their loan year and will start working under Torrecilla's guidance on Friday, although it seems unlikely they will stay with the team: Ruben Cantero, Cesar Moreno, and Rafa de Palmas.

Thus, Torrecilla would start working with about 20 players, although it is also expected that some players from the reserve and youth teams will be incorporated to begin the first days of training.

Four players have already bid farewell to Hercules in recent dates, including Alvarito, Javi Moreno, Josema, and Abraham del Moral.

The only survivors of the promotion who are still uncertain about their continuity at Hercules are Artiles and Agustin Coscia, the scorer of the historic goal against Lleida that secured promotion to Primera RFEF.
