Helicopter Rescue of Norwegian Hiker Who Fell in Serra Gelada
The 66-year-old woman was transferred to an ambulance in Finestrat due to a possible ankle fracture

Another rescue from height this April in the province of Alicante. This time, the Provincial Fire Consortium expedition travelled to Serra Gelada, in the area corresponding to L'Alfàs del Pi.
At 13:11 on Friday, the Consortium received the alert: a 66-year-old Norwegian woman with a possible ankle fracture after a fall. This injury prevented her from continuing her hike.

Thus, after assessing the terrain's orography, the Firefighters from the Provincial Consortium dispatched an Alpha 01 helicopter with a special rescue group (GER) to assist and aid this Norwegian hiker.
Once the injured woman was located, the Firefighters descended to her to lift her with a crane to the helicopter. Once airborne, the 66-year-old woman was transported to the Finestrat helipad, where an SVB ambulance awaited her.
