Heavy rainfall continues to impact the province of Alicante. Following an intense Tuesday of precipitation, with an orange alert in the northern region, rain is expected to persist across the province on Wednesday.
Currently, the northern part of Alicante is experiencing the worst conditions. It continues to rain, and in the last four hours, towns like La Vall de la Gallinera have recorded over 16.2 litres per square metre, while L'Orxa has surpassed 12 litres per square metre, according to the Valencian Meteorological Association (Avamet).

In the past 24 hours, several areas have approached 100 litres per square metre. In La Vall de la Gallinera, the total has reached 98.6 litres per square metre, while L'Orxa is nearing 90 litres per square metre, similar to Vall d'Ebo.
According to Avamet, other municipalities in the northern interior of the province also report high accumulations, although significantly lower than these three locations. Planes has recorded 51.4 litres per square metre, Alcosser 46.8 litres per square metre, and Agres 40 litres per square metre.

So far during the storm, the accumulations have been very high in La Vall d'Ebo and La Vall de la Gallinera. Avamet data shows that in the last three days, accumulations have reached 342 litres per square metre and 315 litres per square metre respectively, while Pego is nearing 140 litres per square metre and L'Orxa has exceeded 206 litres.
The storm is expected to continue throughout Wednesday in the province of Alicante. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow alert across Alicante for rainfall that could result in accumulations between 20 and 40 litres per square metre.
