The Department of Health has invested €1.02 million in the comprehensive refurbishment of the climate control and lighting system at Villena I Health Centre, a project that has received a contribution of €843,000 from the European Union's Next Generation funds.
"This is a refurbishment that will provide patients and staff at the healthcare centre with advanced, modern, and environmentally efficient climate control and lighting systems," stated Beatriz Massa, the health department manager, who visited the site this morning.
In this regard, to promote energy efficiency, the Department has installed LED lighting systems with solar utilisation and has also established low environmental impact climate control mechanisms with high ventilation capacity.
"With this improvement," concluded Massa, "the Villena I Health Centre building becomes a more comfortable infrastructure while also committing to environmental care and respect."
