L'Harmonia d'Alacant pays tribute to foguerer Pepe Balaguer with a concert and pasodoble

The musical society L'Harmonia d'Alacant will hold a concert on November 17 at the ADDA with free admission. During the event, a "small tribute" will be paid to Pepe Balaguer, who led the band between 2018 and 2022, "carrying out an enormous task".

Moreover, Balaguer - who passed away last February - was a foguerer of Sèneca-Autobusos, where he spread "his good humor and great humanity." Therefore, L'Harmonia will premiere a pasodoble dedicated to his figure at the concert, which will "indirectly" become part of the musical heritage of the district.

It was last February 16, after his departure, when his friend and journalist Fernando Abad dedicated a few words to Pepe Balaguer. An agronomist engineer, musician and lover of L'Harmonia, he recalled, "he had taught himself to play the saxophone after retiring."

From the festival participant, "good nature, humor, joy" stand out, along with all the anecdotes they shared and many others he told. All this made him "one of the true souls of the Festival and life."
