Elche celebrates the World Tourism Day from September 27 to 29 with a full program of activities. Visitelche has prepared guided tours, open house days in museums, demonstrations of the palm tree craft, family activities, and special promotions offered by tourism companies.
The open house days in museums and exhibition halls are one of the main activities that join the programming of the White Night on Saturday the 28th. The weekend will also feature guided tours to learn about the history of the city and the Palmeral, with a 90-minute tour of the most emblematic places in the old town and the Municipal Park. The tours will depart from the Tourist Office on Friday and Saturday morning and afternoon, as well as Sunday morning.

The Palmeral Museum will host a demonstration of the traditional palm tree craft on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 12 PM, while the Paleontological Museum will offer a paleo-urban route to discover hidden fossils in the city's ornamental rocks on Friday afternoon.
In a more family-friendly atmosphere, children can experience an adventure with explorer Ili Palmir in search of dragons on the afternoon of the 27th and the morning of the 28th. The Casa de l'Hort dels Pontos also joins the open house day with free entry, featuring 'Wooden Games' on Saturday the 28th from 10 AM to 2 PM, where families will have the opportunity to try handcrafted games made from reused pine and palm wood.
The last day of activities includes a thematic guided tour in El Clot de Galvany Municipal Natural Park 'Dragonflies and Damselflies in El Clot'. The Tourism Councilor, Irene Rui, states that the purpose of these days is "to highlight the importance of tourism in the cultural, social, and economic fields of the municipality."
