Pep Guardiola's 2024 seems to have started on a sour note, as the Spanish saying goes, "if the day starts badly, it can only get worse." Last year, his season with Manchester City took a downturn, and now it concludes with his divorce from Cristina Serra after 30 years of marriage.
According to an exclusive report by Las Mamarazzis in 'El Periódico', the couple finalised their decision last December, having seriously considered it, and communicated it to their closest circle, requesting complete privacy, as 'El Periódico' exclusively revealed.
Despite the breakup, the Catalan media reports that their relationship remains amicable. Last Christmas, when the decision had already been made and shared with those closest to them, they spent the holidays together and were even seen with one of their daughters at the theatre.
Years ago, the British media reported that Serra had left England with one of their children. Since then, Guardiola has lived in Manchester, managing City, while his wife resided between Barcelona and London. However, they were often seen together at family events—they have three children, María, Marius, and Valentina—and also at restaurants in Barcelona.
The relationship between Guardiola and Serra began when he was playing midfield for Barcelona. They met in 1994; he was 23, and she was 20. They took their time to marry, eventually tying the knot in a civil ceremony in a town near Barcelona in 2014. They have three children. María, the most well-known, is an influencer with a million Instagram followers. Marius is 22, and Valentina is 17.
