Elche aims to excel in all categories. Now that the franjiverde club has reached its peak once again, the City Council is following suit. Therefore, it has decided to create a green lung next to the Martínez Valero stadium.
The City Council has announced the creation of a new recreational area in the vicinity with an investment of 350,000 euros. The aim is to "modernise the facilities and public spaces, while also improving the lives of the residents," detailed the Public Services Councillor, Claudio Guilabert.

The launch of this new green zone project is a "demand" from the residents. Thus, the City Council will plant trees in the area to create shaded spaces, a picnic area, children's games, awnings, and an irrigation system. All of this will be bordered by the ravine with a hedge system.
More works in Elche
The Elche City Council will also carry out other renovation and modernisation works on the municipality's recreational spaces. Among them, the Poeta León Felipe children's park in Carrús, where children's games, safety flooring, and sail awnings will be replaced for 81,000 euros in a month and a half.
Another project will be executed in the Rafael Bonmatí children's park in El Altet, where sail awnings will be installed throughout the area, with a budget of 58,000 euros within a month.
