A Grand Drone Show to Illuminate Alicante's Sky This Saturday

Alicante welcomed the Hogueras last Tuesday with the traditional Arribada del Foc, a pyromusical event from the Maisonnave building of El Corte Inglés, marking the start of the main festivities. This Saturday, the festive skies of Alicante will witness an unprecedented experience: a light show featuring drones, designed as an innovative and technological alternative, taking place on Saturday, June 21 at 11:00 PM at docks 10 and 12 of the Port of Alicante, near the Volvo walkway, following the first day of the flower offering.

Organised by the Generalitat Valenciana under the title 'Wild Nature', 150 drones will perform a perfect choreography of movement and music. The drones used in the show are specially designed and equipped with LED lighting systems capable of reproducing up to 16 million different shades. This technology allows for unique entertainment spectacles, with precise image reproduction.

For this event, the Generalitat Valenciana has chosen Umiles, a leading company in Spain for drone services and specialised in light shows, known for productions at theme parks like PortAventura or TV shows like the season premiere of 'El Hormiguero' with Rafa Nadal. The company has also worked with platforms like Netflix and Disney, among other high-impact international productions. All drones for the Hogueras show are manufactured by Umiles in their facilities in Spain.

Ernesto Albacete, commercial director of Umiles, expressed the importance for the group to premiere this show at such an emblematic festival as the Hogueras, where the tradition of fireworks is deeply rooted: "Being part of this iconic event and doing so in such a representative setting as the Port is an opportunity to bring an innovative and artistic show to the heart of the city."

Albacete adds that each show they present requires weeks of technical and creative work, where a multidisciplinary team synchronises light, music, and flight to achieve an attractive and emotional visual experience.
