The Grand Alicante Wine Tasting Returns to the Port

Thirty-five Alicante wineries will present all their new offerings directly to the public next Thursday, 29th May 2025, during the Winecanting Puerto event. This marks the 18th edition of the event, with the last three being held in the Digital District of Alicante's port, next to the Panoramis building.

From 7:30 PM onwards, attendees will have access to the venue, where over a hundred wine references will be available. These include the new muscat wines from the 2024 campaign, as well as whites and rosés from the same vintage, monastrell reds, garnachas, girós, and other native varieties. Additionally, the three wines classified as "Alicante Singular" for their authenticity, the new vintages of other aged reds or reserves, sparkling wines, dessert wines, and some of the legendary Fondillones will be featured.

These products will also be paired with traditional and locally produced goods from companies such as Embutidos Rico from Pinoso, La Vaquería del Camp d'Elx, El Fornet de Monovar, or creations specifically made by Pizzata, El Alma de Josana, or Aperitivos Gisbert. All are based on the gastronomic traditions of the various provincial regions, including pickles, salted fish, or traditional pastries.

This event attracts attendees from across the province who come to discover and celebrate the wines of one of Europe's most historic and active wine regions in recent years. This winecanting event signifies and symbolizes the movement of this entire sector, which is crucial for the province's sustainability.

Tickets are available online via the website www.vinosalicantedop.org. The event is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, Livestock, and Fisheries and will feature collaborating entities from the sector at its inauguration.
