The Government Lowers Parliamentary Majorities to Renew RTVE Leadership

The Government approved a Royal Decree-Law on Tuesday that lowers the parliamentary majorities required to renew the Board of Directors of Radio Televisión Española (RTVE). The corporation is currently operating with the mandate of most of its members and the interim president, Concepción Cascajosa, expired.
According to RTVE, the new text will establish that appointments can be made by an absolute majority of 176 deputies.
