Countdown to having more public housing in the Valencian Community. The President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, keeps his promise to "launch more than 2,200 homes in one year" for the citizens who "need it the most".
In this regard, the head of the Consell has announced that the works to build the first 1,200 rental homes will begin next January, as the tender has already been awarded to the developers.
At the same time, Mazón has detailed that "the first lands" to build the rest of the Plan Vive properties, a thousand, will be put out to tender in November. So far, 260 municipalities, half of the municipalities in the Community, have already joined.

In this regard, the president has pointed out that these homes will be developed on municipal land and by the Valencian Housing and Land Entity (EVHA) under a surface rights regime.
Thus, in the coming days, the presentation of the projects and the applications for building permits will be finalized to "start the construction of these homes as soon as possible".
Mazón has also recalled the approval of the Public Protection Housing (VPP) decree which includes a minimum reservation of 40% of the developments for young people under 35 or single-parent families.
This decree also includes a dynamic price-setting module "pioneering in Spain" and updated annually, which will cap its maximum level and allow cheaper housing by setting a lower price in those municipalities where conditions allow.
Likewise, the president has pointed out that more than 200 young people have benefited from the aid aimed at buying homes in small municipalities or at risk of depopulation; also that in the last year 516 homes have been delivered to vulnerable people compared to the 390 that were allocated for this purpose in the previous two years.
Mazón has assured that these are examples of our priority with housing that "from the first minute of the change government has been a strategic axis of our political action to address one of the problems of thousands of young people and families who have been forgotten for many years".
Thus, he explained that "we have made legislative changes, recovered rental aid, or increased funds. In addition, we have collaborated with the private initiative, municipalities, or financial entities to join efforts".
