The Generalitat will open the registration period for the new Viaja +65 aid program on Monday, September 23, which will cover up to 70 euros for a double room, include 100 euros per person for gastronomic, cultural, and sports experiences, and higher incentives than those of Imserso for hotels.

The President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, and the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Nuria Montes, presented the details of the program this Friday to the tourism sector and municipal authorities. The objective, in the words of the Consell, is "to respond to the inaction and abandonment of the Spanish Government" towards tourism.

Specifically, with the Viaja+ 65 Voucher, those over 65 can travel from October 14 to December 20, for a minimum of five nights and a maximum of ten. They will receive up to 70 euros for a double room per night or 50 euros for a single room, and can request up to 100 euros per person for musical, gastronomic, sports and cultural experiences, with 25 euros per activity.

This program from the Valencian government, which users can sign up for through the same platform as the Bono Viaje, increases the incentives received by companies in the sector. Hotels will receive an incentive of 35 euros instead of Imserso's 23 euros, and travel agencies will receive 20 euros compared to the current program's 13 euros.

Viaja+65 is a two-month pilot program with a budget of 1.1 million and 7,000 beneficiaries and an estimated 50,000 overnight stays.
