The Housing Department has announced the launch of the Young Rent Voucher for 2025, providing aid totalling 22.8 million euros, now published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana.

For this year's call, the aid remains at 250 euros for a period of two years, totalling 6,000 euros for young people meeting the requirements. Notably, the Generalitat has increased the rental contract income limits, allowing applications with higher contract amounts than before.

Another change is the shift from direct concession to competitive bidding, considering each young person's circumstances. All applications will be evaluated, and aid will be granted based on income level. Additionally, improvements in processing through Artificial Intelligence will shorten evaluation and granting times.

The Young Rent Voucher targets individuals up to 35 years old whose income does not exceed three times the Public Indicator of Multiple Effect Income (IPREM). Requirements include having Spanish nationality or being a citizen of an EU member state, holding regular residency in Spain, and being the holder of a lease or use agreement for a dwelling or room in the Valencian Community. Furthermore, the dwelling must be the applicant's habitual and permanent residence, and they must be registered at the address.

It is important to note that these aids are incompatible with other rental payment subsidies, except for individuals in exceptional cases such as victims of gender violence, homeless people, or beneficiaries of aid due to natural disasters.

The application period for the Young Rent Voucher begins the day after the call is published in the DOGV and will remain open for 15 days.

The First Vice President and Minister of Social Services, Equality, and Housing, Susana Camarero, stated that "this measure aims to facilitate access to decent and adequate housing for young people in the Valencian Community, especially those with greater economic difficulties."
