The woman, the alleged perpetrator of the theft, took advantage of the good relationship they maintained after their breakup to visit the victim's house and gradually steal the money in small amounts.

Suspecting this was happening, the victim filed a report with the National Police, as he had clear indications that the money had been taken by his 37-year-old ex-partner. They had started a romantic relationship in 2017 after meeting through social media, prompting the woman to move from her home country to Spain to live with the man and continue their romance.

However, the romantic relationship ended in 2023, and they stopped living together, with her moving to a shared apartment. Despite this, their friendship continued, and they saw each other occasionally. In fact, the victim stated that he had financially helped her when she needed it and that she had free access to his home.

Faced with the gradual depletion of his savings, the victim decided to set a trap: he hid a considerable amount of money in a spot at home and placed a camera focused on that location. Through this, he was able to confirm his suspicions and filed a report with the National Police, providing the evidence he had.
