Frenchman Petrot, Elche's First Signing

Elche has reached an agreement with Léo Petrot for the French footballer's incorporation into the first team managed by Eder Sarabia. The left-back arrives on a free transfer after his stint at AS Saint-Étienne and signs a contract linking him to the club for one season, until June 2026.

Léo Petrot (France, 15/04/1997) has a solid track record in French professional football. Trained in the AS Saint-Étienne academy, he has spent most of his career at the green and white club, with brief spells at Andréxieux FC and FC Lorient. His left-footed profile and versatility have allowed him to play both as a left-back and in the centre of defence.

In the 2024/25 season, he was a key player for Saint-Étienne, with 31 official matches played, over 2000 minutes accumulated, 3 assists, and a high success rate in passes and defensive duels.

"Elche welcomes Léo Petrot and reaffirms its commitment to building a competitive and solid squad," the franjiverde club expressed in a statement to the media.

Meanwhile, Nike and Elche CF have renewed their technical sponsorship agreement for three more seasons, until June 2028. The American brand will continue to support the Club as an official supplier, extending a partnership that began in 2021 and has dressed the team in key moments of its recent history.

"This renewal strengthens mutual trust and consolidates the commitment of both entities to continue growing together, betting on innovation, performance, and respect for the franjiverde identity. Nike, a global reference brand, will continue designing exclusive kits for Elche CF in the coming years," the club highlighted.

Finally, María Rocamora (Orihuela, 07/01/2008) will continue guarding the goal for the franjiverde women's first team during the 2025/26 season. At 17, the goalkeeper will remain a key player in the franjiverde squad, led this season by Txema Expósito, competing for another year in the Segunda Federación.

Rocamora joined the Club at the end of the 2021/22 season from CFF Uryula, and since then, she has shown constant and outstanding progress. In the 2022/23 campaign, she was instrumental in the first team's promotion to the Segunda Federación, also alternating her participation with the reserve team (Autonómica). In 2023/24, she consolidated her position in the first team, and in 2024/25, she has once again demonstrated her worth in an increasingly demanding category.
