Four individuals, including three firefighters and one worker, sustained minor injuries following a fire that erupted in an external tank at a pharmaceutical company located on Miralcampo Avenue in Azuqueca de Henares. The incident occurred after an explosion.
Sources from the Emergency and Urgent Care Coordination Service 112 of Castilla-La Mancha informed Europa Press that between 600 and 700 employees had to be evacuated as a precaution due to the fire in an underground external tank containing methylene chloride, acetone, and ethanol.
Police officers from the Civil Guard and Local Police, along with firefighters from the Azuqueca de Henares station, were dispatched to the scene. They requested assistance from firefighters in Sigüenza, Guadalajara, and Madrid.
