Former Motorcycle Champion Miguel Tey Imprisoned for Attempted Kidnapping

Yesterday, a court in Arenys de Mar (Barcelona) ordered the imprisonment of former motorcycle champion Miguel Tey. A former champion of Spain and Europe, Tey was arrested and brought before the court, accused of participating in the attempted kidnapping of a businessman's wife.

The judge ordered provisional imprisonment without bail, according to sources from the TSJC. The case is open for charges of extortion, discovery and disclosure of secrets, and damages. Tey was arrested last Friday. He is accused of planning the kidnapping of a woman and extorting a businessman to repay debts owed to another person. This is not the first time Tey has had legal troubles. Ten years ago, he was investigated for extortion.
