In a gesture of peace, the PSOE list for the Alicante regional congress is being formed. Party insiders boast about the 'peace pipe' they have lit in favour of unity and calm. For turbulent times - as they are well accustomed to - there will be time enough.
Meanwhile, the now former general secretary Miguel Millana has distanced himself from the local group so that the PSPV, under Diana Morant, can manage; the pawns, bishops, and knights of Pintor Gisbert, opposed to those of Pintos Cabrera - and other factions seeking to enter the board - continue the game.
This time, they are playing it safe. The situation - a few levels above - is not conducive to causing more commotion. Indeed, if peace is the goal, they haven't even fought over the numbers. The list for the regional congress is in alphabetical order, leaving aside the zippers, the starting positions, and the shelters.

What is surprising about this list are many names. Most notably, the former Mayor of Alicante Gabriel Echávarri (2015-2018), whose name has not appeared on a ballot since his departure from the Town Hall. With him, although according to the alphabet, are his close associates like Fernando Marcos and others who were in his administration: Carlos Giménez and his accidental successor Eva Montesinos.
Also, one of the PSOE figures talked about by all families, Ángel Franco alongside his protégé Quico Fenollar. Also, other historical figures now retired from the frontline like Josefina Bueno, Lola Vílchez, or Juana Serna. From other factions, María José Adsuar and Toni Miraperceval.
Also current institutional positions, such as Ana Barceló and other councillors from the municipal group like Trini Amorós, Silvia Amorós, Miguel Castelló, Victoria Melgosa, Raúl Ruiz, and Emilio Ruiz.
With them, others who have passed through the benches of the Plenary Hall: Llanos Cano or Manolo Marín; along with those who have left the municipal sphere like Araceli Poblador, a deputy in Congress; Yaissel Sánchez, in Les Corts; and Domenech Ruiz Devesa, a former MEP.
