Alicante woke up this Saturday with fog in the air. This phenomenon forced the airport to divert the arrival of eight flights to the infrastructures of Murcia and Valencia.
At 10:02 am, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport reported the diversion of six flights to Manises 'due to low visibility caused by the fog'.
The first six affected planes came from London, Cardiff, Oran, Amsterdam, Manchester, and Birmingham; two more were added, making a total of eight diversions by 10:30 am this Saturday, one of them to Murcia from Eindhoven.
The Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport also reports 'many delays for landing' during the morning in the province.
Similarly, departures from Alicante-Elche Airport also suffer delays in their arrival. The affected planes are: one to Amsterdam (11:07 am with Transavia, Delta, and KLM), another to Brussels (10:46 am with Iberia and Vueling), also to Dusseldorf (10:40 am with Eurowings), Rotterdam (11:45 am with Transavia), Birmingham (10:40 am with EasyJet), and Shannon (10:59 am with Ryanair).
