Alicante will be filled with the emotion of the 'foguerers' and 'barraquers' on June 21 and 22 as they bring flowers to the patron saint, the Virgin of Remedy. The Abad Penalva square will be adorned with a white and red mantle, gradually filled with offerings from over 90 bonfires during the flower offering.
The parade will start at 6 PM and will extend until after 10 PM along the official route connecting Luceros Square with the Town Hall Square, with a stop at the Cathedral of San Nicolás. The festival-goers will pass through Alfonso el Sabio, Rambla de Méndez Núñez, San José Street, San Nicolás Co-Cathedral, Miguel Soler Street, back to Rambla de Méndez Núñez, Rafael Altamira, and Town Hall Square.
The offering is one of the most sentimental moments of the Hogueras, where the 'belleas' and their court of honour bid farewell to the official route of the city's Official Festivities. Moreover, the fervour of the people of Alicante for their patron saint is displayed with splendour in the beautiful flower tapestry that will be gradually filled, commission by commission.
Traffic Disruptions due to the Hogueras
During the flower offering, it will be important to be aware of the traffic restrictions that the parade will entail. In addition to the limitation of vehicular traffic in the restricted central circuit, there are specific closures, as the official route will cause interruptions on several streets.

The restricted traffic circuit includes Spain Square, Santa Teresa Square, Cuesta de la Fábrica, Benito Pérez Galdós streets and avenues, Músico Óscar Tordera Square, Poeta Carmelo Calvo, Padre Mariana, Salamanca, Maisonnave, Doctor Gadea, Federico Soto, General Marvá, Doctor Ramón y Cajal, Conde Vallellano, Juan Bautista Lafora, Dénia, Doña Violante, and Vázquez de Mella.
In this perimeter of the city centre, Alfonso el Sabio and Estación avenues will also be closed. However, specific measures are in place for restricted traffic of public services and residents. With these measures, pedestrians will be able to move freely along these routes, which are heavily trafficked during the Hogueras festivities.
Traffic in the central area of Alicante will be limited to 20 kilometres per hour, with appropriate signage at the seven access points to the restricted traffic zone (Spain Square, Jaime II, San Telmo, Álvarez Sereix, Federico Soto via Calvo Sotelo Square, and San Fernando via Doctor Gadea). Therefore, it is recommended to leave the car at home and use public transport.
