We played a great match. Today is a day to be positive and optimistic. "The team is incredible. We always stay united and that's what's important. The goal is to learn from each match and improve day by day," stated Hansi Flick after his team's resounding victory against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final. The German coach was euphoric after his second thrashing of the eternal rival and his first title as Barcelona's coach.
The joy of the German and all the Barça fans comes after a tumultuous start to the year, where poor results at the end of the year and the 'Olmo case' shook the club's current affairs. This setback does not worry the German, who wanted to focus on his team's good performance. "I have been in this world for many years. The goal of big clubs is to win titles, and that's why we work hard. Now we must show in every match how good we are," he noted.

Despite the thrashing, Flick took time to highlight areas for improvement for the second half of the season. "It's important how we played. Today we made some mistakes, and that's what we need to reduce. When we have the ball, everything is easier. It's not easy to play with ten players against Real Madrid," he clarified.
Robert Lewandowski was once again a protagonist against Real Madrid and expressed his happiness and confidence in his coach's approach. "What's important is how we want to play now or in the future. We always want more, we are very happy, but in three days we have another match, and we have to start preparing for it from tomorrow," he assured while speaking about the holidays as a turning point for the second half of the season. "Christmas, the time we spent at home, was good to think about what we had done wrong," he concluded.
Another key player in the Barça dressing room expressed his satisfaction right after the match. Jules Koundé was proud after a victory that could be a turning point for the team. "It means a lot, it had been a season since we last won a title, and it's always special in a Clásico against Madrid. We were calm and patient because we knew that by applying the game plan, we could win. Before, with an advantage, it would have been difficult, so I am very happy and proud because we have learned. We needed it, and we deserve it," he noted.
