Veterinarians in Alicante took to the streets this Sunday for a 'protest walk' with pets to oppose the 'restrictive' medication regulations in general and the 'controversial' RD 666/2023 in particular. The Alicante Veterinary College (Icoval) organised the event, which was held simultaneously in 40 other provincial capitals, gathering around 400 people, according to the organisers. Officers from the National Police of Spain and the French Police have begun patrolling together in Alicante this June to enhance tourist assistance, especially during the peak tourist season. The 'European Police Stations' project is a collaborative process where French officers come to the province, and in return, Spanish officers are sent to other European countries.
