Alicante is seeking its second 'sold out' of the tourist season after achieving 'technical full' status in hotels and apartments last Easter. The city recorded a 95% occupancy rate, according to the Provincial Hotel Association (Apha). The Tourism Councillor, Ana Poquet, highlighted that "the Easter figures are very good, as they have been in recent months, allowing us to say that the low season no longer exists and making us anticipate a summer with great results for the sector and the city." The city of Alicante will see multi-million euro projects in the coming times, including the undergrounding of the Gibeller roundabout and the modernisation of treatment plants.
