The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has received a favourable Environmental Impact Report from the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge for the project to duplicate the N-332 road as it passes through Torrevieja. The Ministry of Health has taken the first step to formalise the agreement reached last January with the University of Alicante and Miguel Hernández University to share medical students' practices "on equal terms." A 45-year-old woman from Alicante was attacked in the street in Mutxamel. A hooded man approached her and threw corrosive liquid on her face. The incident, confirmed by TodoAlicante, occurred last Friday, 14th February, around 9 p.m., on Samaruc Street in the town of Mutxamel, while the woman was walking her dog in the area. Seven neighbourhood associations in Alicante have united against the expansion of regulated parking spaces (blue and orange zones) arguing that it is "an unfair measure that will only result in higher costs for residents without offering real solutions to the parking problem in Alicante." The rental price in Alicante continues to soar. At 11 euros per square metre, an 80 m2 flat would cost an average of about 880 euros per month. This represents a 9.6% increase from January 2024 and a 0.2% rise compared to December, according to the latest data from the real estate portal Idealista, corresponding to early 2025.
