Most of the 218 fatalities caused by the DANA on 29th October in the province of Valencia were found inside homes (65) and garages (32), while in open spaces, the highest number of deaths occurred in fields (24) and streets (21). Read the full story.

The President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, categorically denied this Sunday that he was cut off for five hours on 29th October, the day of the DANA. "It's a hoax that I was cut off, it's a lie," he said. The head of the Consell noted that he did not miss any meal that day - referring to the one he had with a journalist - and added that he maintained his schedule "because everything was prepared at the Cecopi." The Government will register this Monday in the Congress of Deputies a request for the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to appear before the Plenary to report on the management related to the effects of the DANA. Read the full story.

The Les Barraques de Catarroja fallas is bustling with people. Volunteers are organising, others are asking if they can deliver food to an elderly person in the neighbourhood, and a long queue of residents is lining up to get rations, soap, or materials to clean their homes. In this corner building, it only takes a glance to realise the magnitude of the disaster left by the DANA in the province of Valencia. Cars, tree debris, tons of mud, and even buses dragged by the force of the water are piled up in front. The Edificant plan is advancing in Alicante at full speed. The next centre to start construction will be the CEIP La Florida. In the coming days, work will begin, awarded to Gestión Integral de Mantenimientos y Servicios Auxiliares S.L. (Gimsa) for 403,004.41 euros with a completion period of seven months.
