The arrival of a new DANA (Isolated Depression at High Levels) or cold drop will bring heavy rains to Mediterranean areas from this Tuesday, so the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the orange alert on the northern coast of the province of Alicante for intense precipitation. "This week we are watching a new adverse situation, as a result of the arrival from northern Europe of a DANA or a cold drop," according to Rubén del Campo, spokesperson for the state agency. The Fourth Section of the Provincial Court has agreed to maintain the situation of provisional freedom without bail of the former president of the Generalitat and former minister Eduardo Zaplana, who was sentenced last October to penalties totaling 10 years and 5 months in prison for crimes of prevarication, bribery, document falsification, and money laundering in the framework of the so-called 'Erial Case', in a sentence that can be appealed in cassation before the Supreme Court. The spokesperson for Compromís in the Alicante City Council, Rafa Mas, has demanded from the PP Government team a report "justifying the expansion of the Regulated Parking Service (ORA) in more than 3,000 new blue and orange zone spaces in Benalúa, San Blas, Campoamor, and Carolinas".
