Tremendous scare this Wednesday morning when a piece of cornice from the Clock Tower of the Alicante City Hall fell to the sidewalk. The fall of the stone fragment did not cause any injuries, despite the area being very crowded at that time. The Alicante City Hall has urgently placed a protective safety net on the Clock Tower of the municipal building, shortly after this Thursday the detachment of a part of the cornice of that tower occurred without miraculously causing any personal damage. According to the data collected by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) in the Continuous Register (with information from the year 2020 and 2021), the most common names for Alicante residents born in the 2020s are Martín (21.4 per thousand born), Leo (18.1), Lucas (17.5), Hugo (17.3), and Mateo (15.4).
