The newly reshuffled Consell, prompted by the catastrophic DANA of October 29, has taken office this Tuesday with the mission to tackle the "economic, social, and emotional recovery" of the Valencian Community, "the greatest challenge in the history of our self-government," while also aiming to "awaken confidence among the citizens."
This was expressed by the President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, in his speech at the institutional event where the new members of the Valencian government were sworn in.
"A governmental action that must be deployed with all guarantees and without wasting a minute. In a context of anger and pain that we all acknowledge, no matter how bitter it may be. We do not ignore this suffering, nor the indignation that may accompany it at certain times, which anyone can understand. Our responsibility is to face this reality to which we will respond. We will deploy human and technical resources to the fullest extent possible because it is our duty," he asserted.

Mazón thanked the new officials for stepping forward, praised their "brilliant" careers, and acknowledged the work done by the outgoing councilors: Salomé Pradas and Nuria Montes.
Furthermore, he promised that the new Consell assumes the responsibility for recovery in a "more agile, swift, and effective" manner. "It was the change that had to happen," he said, adding that the provinces of Alicante and Castellón will contribute to this recovery.
The inauguration began with a minute of silence for the DANA victims, after which the First Vice President, spokesperson, and secretary of the Consell, Susana Camarero, read the Generalitat decree that established the dismissals and appointments of councilors and the reshuffling of certain departments of the Valencian government.
Subsequently, Camarero and the new Second Vice President and Councilor for Economic and Social Recovery, Francisco José Gan Pampols; the head of Finance and Economy, Ruth Merino; the new Councilor for Justice and Public Administration, Nuria Martínez; the new head of Emergencies and Interior, Juan Carlos Valderrama; and the new head of Innovation, Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, Marián Cano, were sworn into their new positions.
All used the usual formula when taking office, promising loyalty to the King and the Constitution, and ensuring they would keep the deliberations of the Consell confidential.
